EXP Summoners? Empty EXP Summoners?

I looted a blue music note that was a exp summoner.
This was yesterday...
Now, i got 2 more an all 3 are just music notes.

Why is this?

They've been updated I guess, they were actaully modified Echoes of Oblivion, which gave a lot of EXP. Perhaps no more free exp this era
