Why am I getting my ass kicked by a level 2,290 when I am 3,301

I have noticed my ass being handed to me by a lower level with a magic level of 100? wtf this isn't even ray of pain .... this is weird

Big Mac - Sniper = level 3,301
Alet Bolin - Demonic Summoner = level 2,290
I have my magic level 50 spell Hellz Death and hit way lower, my point is this isn't even his highest spell and if it is... WHY DOES IT HIT SO MUCH?!
